This is a must read for anyone who is even contemplating a career in fashion. The book, albeit very US centric, very clearly defines the various possible career paths within the industry by separating them into 4 main categories: creatives, critics, visualisers and sellers.
If you have absolutely no idea about what it is that you are wanting to do and if at this point in your life fashion is a passion or a hobby this book should be your bible. It is written in a simple language, full of useful tips starting from which type of stockings not to wear and ending with what the major headhunters' website addresses. The book also features interviews with a variety of industry insiders and discusses their respective career paths. After reading this book you will have a fair idea of what different roles within fashion entail. Although, I should probably note that the book doesn't really contain any 'technical' industry information as such. You should be able to purchase from Amazon.
